The Rockford IceHogs have signed defenseman Ryan Stanton for the 2021-22 American Hockey League season.
Stanton played 35 regular season games with the AHL’s Bakersfield Condors in the 2020/21 season, scoring one goal and 12 assists. He also appeared in six postseason competitions for the Condors, who won the Pacific Division playoff title.
Stanton is returning to the IceHogs, where he began his professional career in 2010 and spent his first three seasons. In a total of 514 AHL games with Rockford, Hershey, Cleveland, San Antonio, Bakersfield and Ontario, Stanton has scored a total of 25 goals and 109 assists for 134 points along with a cumulative score of over 80.
In 39 post-season games, Stanton has scored five goals and three assists, reaching the Calder Cup final with Hershey in 2016.
Stanton has played 120 NHL games in his 11-year professional career, scoring four goals and 23 assists for 27 points with Chicago, Vancouver and Washington.
