Six division world champion Oscar De La Hoya believes YouTube stars Jake and Logan Paul are great at boxing.

The two brothers are constantly making headlines in sports with their high-profile fights.

Logan Paul fought Floyd Mayweather in an eight-round exhibition in June. Their battle topped a pay-per-view card that generated over a million purchases.

Younger brother Jake Paul (3-0, 3 KOs) will be competing in his fourth professional fight on Sunday night when he collides with former UFC Champion Tyron Woodley in the main event on a Showtime Pay-Per-View card.

Boxing purists aren’t happy that the Paul brothers are getting so much press for their boxing careers.

De La Hoya, the CEO of Golden Boy Promotions, has no problem with the Paul brothers getting involved in the sport.

“I think Jake and Logan Paul are great overall for boxing. When it comes to boxing, we always wonder why it’s going down or why the ratings are so low or why there are no more World Cup fights and why the fan base is decreasing. “De La Hoya told ABC 7.

“It’s not really at first sight, but when stars like Jake and Logan Paul bring a whole new fan base to boxing, I’m a thousand percent convinced of it. Now kids come up to me on the street because of them.” You know who Oscar De La Hoya is and Manny Pacquiao is as these YouTubers bring kids into the sport through their platform and social media.

De La Hoya made his first return to the ring since 2008 when he competed against MMA legend Vitor Belfort in a sanctioned boxing match on September 11th at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
