10 QB Sleepers for Fantasy Football Week 6
Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell told the media that legendary quarterback Drew Brees sent him special texts after Sunday’s heartbreaking loss to the Vikings.
The Detroit Lions’ week 5 loss to the Minnesota Vikings was heartbreaking. While it looked like the Lions were claiming their first win of the season, Minnesota shot a 54-yard field goal when time ran out to snag that win.
Dan Campebll was so devastated that he burst into tears after the final whistle when he talked about his players. However, after wiping away those tears, he was able to check his phone and find that Drew Brees had sent him some text messages that were sure to lift his spirits.
Drew Brees had wise words for Dan Campbell after the week 5 loss
As you can see in the video above, Campbell really appreciated this news from Brees. One of the best quarterbacks of the day, Brees knows what it’s like to be down but then hit back and reach the top.
That is what Campbell hopes to achieve with the Lions. After Sunday’s showdown with Minnesota, Detroit is now 0-5 in the season. It’s been a tough start for Campbell with Detroit as the team’s head coach, but he’s fully committed to bringing success back to Motor City.
However, it has to be done quickly so that the mood in the changing room is lifted. Detroit has been in tight competitions several times this season, but they failed to make the necessary games by the fourth quarter to get the job done.
Campbell is ready for his team to play a full four quarters and celebrate a big win in style. You will have the opportunity to do so against the Cincinnati Bengals this Sunday.
