While they technically have a chance to win the NFC East, don’t expect the Dallas Cowboys to close their division tonight.
The Dallas Cowboys will have a tough time winning the NFC East on Tuesday night. You technically have a chance, but it’ll take a strange ending between the Washington Football Team and the Philadelphia Eagles to actually make that chance come true.
While it is not possible for many different types of sporting events to end in a draw, it does happen occasionally in the NFL. From time to time teams go into overtime and neither team can prevail.
Unfortunately for the Cowboys and their fans, Dallas needs a tie for the Cowboys to win their division on Tuesday night.
Since Philadelphia was up 10 points in the fourth quarter, that probably won’t happen.
Dallas Cowboys: Will Washington Football Team Philadelphia Eagles Help Cowboys Win NFC East?

Sure, the Cowboys have hit a bit and are fighting on the offensive, but they’re still the best team NFC East has to offer.
They’ll likely lock the division down in the coming weeks, but things may not go entirely smoothly for the cowboys if they don’t take things seriously. Dallas will play Washington on Sunday, the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday January 2nd, and then Philadelphia on January 9th.
