Dak Prescott runs via staff drills in observe with Dallas Cowboys and ‘appears to be like actually good’

FRISCO, Texas – For the first time since July 27, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott made a significant move in team practice as he continues his return from a strained latissimus in his right shoulder.

Prescott completed 11 of 12 passes in his 18 snaps of 11-on-11 works on Wednesday, and he showed no rust or limits to his ability to get the ball across the field.

The Cowboys open the season on September 9th against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. While the team had no doubt that he would be ready for this game, Dallas Prescott wants to put as much work into practice as possible.

“Dak looks really good man,” said Ezekiel Elliott after training. “He throws the ball with some pop. He looks good, looks like he’s making progress.”

Prescott completed a 20 to 25 yard pass to straighten Blake Jarwin over a linebacker on the sideline and followed up with a bullet at Aaron Parker on a crossing route. Its only incompleteness was a passport that was interrupted by Jayron Kearse. He also demonstrated the ability to gamble on the run, step into your pocket, and find Dalton Schultz for a decent win.

Prescott retired from training in Oxnard, California on July 28th when he experienced pain while performing it. The Cowboys graduated from him for two weeks, although he continued to do his conditioning and strength work on his surgically repaired right ankle.

The Cowboys have consulted with the Texas Rangers and New York Yankees about the injury, as it is more common with pitchers than with quarterbacks. When he got back to Texas, he had a second MRI that showed the stress was healing.

The cowboys were slowly working Prescott back into practice. He threw just over 50 passes in the pre-game warm-up practice before the pre-season game against the Houston Texans on August 21, which was his second straight day of heavier throws.

“I’m sure he’d rather not have to take these steps and just be out there and get into a whole camp,” Elliott said. “But I mean, he’s a grinder. He’s a real professional [with] just the amount of work it takes to get where it was from the ankle and get rid of that tense muscle. It is a true testament to the leader and player he is and is excited to bring him back. “

Coach Mike McCarthy said that Prescott would not play in Sunday’s preseason final against the Jacksonville Jaguars. After Wednesday’s practice session, Prescott and McCarthy had a lengthy discussion that might go through the plan for the next few days and lead into the Buccaneers game.

McCarthy said Prescott was lobbying to do more.

“He’s a competitor,” said McCarthy before training. “He brings that competitiveness and expertise to know the quarterback position. He makes all of training better because he addresses it. Just his pre-training warm-up is playful. He treats it the way you would all like to see it Players treat it. He’s definitely one of the examples you use with the young players. “
