NBA odds makers don’t seem too impressed with Laker’s free agent takeovers
Now that he’s on the defensive for the Kansas City Chiefs, Chris Jones looks like an absolute beast at training camp.
The Kansas City Chiefs couldn’t do better at training camp. Not only is Patrick Mahomes back to full health and throwing the ball all over the field, but star defensive tackle Chris Jones looks like a boss too.
Except Jones no longer queues inside. That’s because the standout has gone on the defensive and he looks like he’s in the best shape of his life. During Wednesday’s practice session, Jones went on par with Joe Thuney and to say he dominated would be an understatement.
Chris Jones looks like a total beast now as he positions himself on the defensive
Jones basically made Thuney look like a rookie there, not one of the best offensive linemen in the game. Remember, Thuney just signed a five-year $ 80 million deal with Kansas City this off-season. Jones went ahead and took him to school when they faced each other.
It has to be exciting for Chiefs fans. Imagine Jones doing this against opposing teams as soon as week 1 starts. Offensive linemen for the Broncos, Raiders and Chargers must tremble in their boots.
Last season, Jones scored 36 tackles and 7.5 sacks, earning him Pro Bowl honors. Last July, Kansas City granted Jones a four-year extension worth $ 85 million. It was a deal he undoubtedly deserved as he booked nine sacks in 2019 and a whopping 15.5 sack in 2018.
At just 27, Kansas City fans can continue to watch Jones make brilliant games for years to come. From 2021 it will come from outside. Good luck to anyone who tries to keep him from putting pressure on his quarterback.
