Barry McGuigan believes Anthony Joshua will beat both Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury.

Joshua defends on Jan.

The 31-year-old was on course for an all-British title showdown with Fury in Saudi Arabia in August before a referee decided for the WBC champion to fight Deontay Wilder for the third time.

Former featherweight champion McGuigan expects Usyk to cause problems with “AJ” early on but expects to beat the Ukrainian and believes his versatility would make him beat Fury.

McGuigan told Pro Boxing Fans, “I think the problem with Usyk is that he will never naturally be able to put on weight and put on a stone and a half, which he has to do to even get a reasonable one Achieve weight for a heavyweight.

“He’s going to trouble Joshua with his tricks and boxing skills early on, but at some point Joshua will come up to him and either crush and stop him or beat him with a unanimous unanimous decision.”

When asked who he would choose if Joshua and Fury got together, McGuigan added, “I think Joshua wins.

“Fury is tricky and cumbersome, but I think Joshua is more versatile.

“He can be both aggressive and boxing, as he showed against Andy Ruiz, but he also showed a vulnerability. It’s just my opinion.

“I think Tyson has a chance with anyone because he is so naturally gifted and fast, but I just think Joshua’s extra strength will take its toll in the last nine minutes of the fight.”
