TEMPE, Arizona – The Arizona Cardinals had three positive COVID-19 tests this week, a source told ESPN NFL insider Dan Graziano, removing a positive test from intense protocols.
That would mean more testing for multiple players and staff.
Cardinal’s linebacker Chandler Jones was put on the Reserve / COVID-19 list on Tuesday for testing positive. On Wednesday, coach Kliff Kingsbury said Jones was symptomatic.
Since he is vaccinated, Jones must have two negative tests 24 hours apart and be asymptomatic for 48 hours for Jones to return to the Cardinals.
“Guys just try to mask themselves and we have the test to make sure the guys are ready to go,” said Kelvin Beachum. “We’re just trying to do everything we can to make sure we’re safe. It’s unfortunate that someone of his caliber will test positive in the season at this crossroads as they have the kind of season they have but have to as a team we just do it. ” Find a way to stay safe and make sure we don’t have a spread in the locker room and building. “
