Large numbers of NBA players entered the league’s health and safety protocols in December, and the number was staggering.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the NBA added 63 players to the league’s health and safety logs this season, 47 of which were back in December, before the league insider reported that Kings center Alex Len entered logs that put a 48. Have added players to the extensive list.
Wojnarowski also notes that two head coaches, Rick Carlisle from Indiana and Alvin Gentry from Sacramento, and a manager, Masai Ujiri from Toronto, were also put on logs.
On Thursday alone, De’Aaron Fox, Russell Westbrook, Bobby Portis, Jabari Walker, Avery Bradley, Isaac Okoro and Len all entered the league’s health and safety protocols.
Several teams have been badly hit by COVID-19; Several players have been missing from the Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Lakers, Sacramento Kings and Brooklyn Nets due to outbreaks.
